Our previous articles have talked a lot about the importance of style, and the various things you can do in order to bump your own style up.
An essential part of this includes footwear.
The shoes you wear can make or break the rest of your outfit, so pay extra attention to what you’re about to read.
Let’s face it, you’re no longer and school so wearing Nike and Adidas shoes no matter where you’re going and what you’re doing is not really an option.
Switch to any of the following.
These are quite possibly my favourite set of shoes. The Chelsea boots add a touch of class to any outfit, and can really take you from the audience to the runway.
A pair of dark brown boots can go with pretty much anything from denims to black trousers.
Chukkas were brought to the forefront by Clarks, and boy did they explode.
Their retro style is something that can add a bit of flavor to your overall look and can help take your style down a different path if you’re interested in experimenting.
But again, like the Chelsea Boots, the Chukkas are hard to get wrong. The colours may vary, but the style doesn’t.
They should be in your shoe rack.
Now we’re getting down to the hard stuff. Oxfords are meant for a certain kind of man, and you have to earn them.
You could just go to the nearest shoe store and buy yourself a pair, but unless you walk like you own it and deserve it, they’re just going to look a bit off.
Oxfords should be reserved for when you have your best suit on so be careful when picking them out. You don’t want to get the wrong colour.
Sneakers are easy. You need at least one pair.
They’re good for everything casual, and there are many different types that you can buy so it’s hard to really go wrong.
H&M and Zara have started to come out with quality sneakers, but if you’re more traditional you can always hit up the Nikes and Adidas of the world.
